Junior Sprint Cars of America seeks to provide a safe and healthy sport to be enjoyed by families with a common goal of sportsmanship. JSCA encourages self-integrity with high moral standards, providing the opportunity to enjoy an environment free of drugs and alcohol. JSCA encourages families to work together to bring out the potential in their child, therefore increasing his/her self-esteem and well being. The following quote from a 1984 Circle Track Magazine article by Rodd McGonegal sums up these ideals; "The physical aspect of racing helps the yourngster to achieve heightened awareness without drugs; it develops reflex action, intuition, and hand-eye coordination. The pits are a tangle of strategy, concerned adults and high expectations. The kids are celebrated here; the sponsors are entitled to their pride also.
JSCA Goals
Junior Sprint Cars of America's future is our drivers. By expanding the sport
with educational focus, high moral standards, and family togetherness to the
general public, we are able to touch more lives. Few sports five the opportunity
for family focus and closeness that Quarter Midget Racing does. The driver
must rely on his/her own abilities and thereby develops a sense of responsibility,
self-confidence and must work on controlling the emotional ups and downs at
the racetrack, learning how to lose with dignity. The handler/parent is given
the opportunity to work with his/her child to develop them into responsible
adults. They may focus on improving their child's God - given abilities and
talents, encouraging them to further develop their skills. By presenting the
sport to the general public, expansion will be a natural outcome. This will
create a need for racetracks and local clubs in new geographical areas. The
growth of the sport will bring about cost containment in equipment and higher
volume purchases create lower costs.
JSCA Focus on Safety

good safety record with very few injuries. Insurance Coverage is provided
for all participants and spectators registered at each event.
