Austin Texas to host QMA 2010 Western Grands




2010 Western Grands will be held at Austin's River City QMA. The club is part of QMA's Region 6. San Antonio, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma, are the other clubs that make up the Region. Topeka, Kansas was formerly part of the group until it changed it's afflication to Region 7 with Minnesota.

Each year, Region 6 holds an event at each track, in order for each club to gain funds for their clubs and bring visitors to their home club. Austin held their Monza event for 2009 over the Labor Day Weekend.

Over 50 cars came to try their luck at the River City Track. Watch their schedule for racing for 2010. "Our club is always open for visitors," said Mike Lewis, Club President. "Anytime racers are in our area, they are welcome to stop by. We are very excited about hosting the 2010 Grands. There has never been a Grand National held in Texas and we are honored to be the first!"
