Former Quarter Midget Driver - Caleb Armstrong won the USAC National Midget race event at Columbus. Kyle Hamilton (right) was 2nd with Jerry Coons, Jr taking 3rd. Coons also started his racing career in quarter midgets.



Newcomers to USAC racing was the Fryar Family from North Carolina. Jared Fryar won the Hvy 160 event.
Their car came in the hauler with Chris Lamb's Ford Focus Car to compete for the Ford Focus Asphalt Nationals Championship.

Buckeye Starts another Successful USAC Event

The Generation Next Series continues to excel with bringing cars to their races. The series splits the race event into 2 different points days. Junior, Senior and Heavy Honda along with Light and Heavy 160 Classes run on Saturday while Rookies, Stocks, Mods, Light and Heavy World Formula, Light and Heavy 'B and Light and Heavy 'AA's and Half run on Sunday. There were 27 Heats, and Semi Races run on Saturday beginning around 10:30 and finishing at 3:45. Raceiver's make the program run fast.................

Racer's and their families then headed over to the big track (Columbus Motor Speedway) where the USAC National Ford Focus Pavement Championship will be decided. Also on the ticket for the night, will be the USAC National Midget Series. Top three in each class on Saturday, will be presented their trophies in front of the pack house at the big track during the USAC races. Watch LIVE STREAMING!

Sunday brought 73 cars. Rookies, Stocks and Mods ran before Mother Nature paid a visit to the Buckeye Club. Carson O'Brien won the Jr Rookie Race, Josh Thompson was the winner in Sr Rookie, and Jeff Dunfee, III continued his winning ways by taking another Jr Stock main event. Caleb Cagle took his 2nd win of the weekend by winning Sr Stock. Brendon Bock's family towed all the way from New York to win the Light Mod Class and Cody Coughlin was the Heavy Mod winner. Rains halted the World Formula, 'B, 'AA and Half Classes.
