For immediate release from Bob Putnam, Orange Show Quarter Midget Racing Association Publicity Director:

In continuing the more than 20 year history of the club ’s invitational event which has roots in Pomona, OSQMRA will host the official “Ernie Bose” TM World Record race for the second year in a row at their new track on the Orange Show Fairgrounds, November 6 – 8, 2009 as previously announced.

Ernie Bose stated, on March 17, 2009, “Its an honor that OSQMRA will continue the tradition of this event at one of the finest and fastest Quarter Midget tracks in the country.” The new track at Orange Show has proven that the fastest QM racing in the country still resides in Southern California.

The sports first 4 second lap was turned on May 18, 2008 by the clubs own Matthew Wright in a Lt B. The first 4 second record lap in Light 160, with a Honda Engine, was set by Jarid Blondel at last year's annual running of the "Ernie Bose World Record Race" at Orange Show.

All QM racers regardless of sanctioning body affiliation are welcome to attend and take their best shot at earning a "World Record Title" and "Commemorative Jacket".
