SLASH R/C CARS A BONUS FOR ORLANDO .25 WINNERS!

Winners of USAC Mopar .25 Midget feature events at the Mopar Speedzone in Orlando, Fla. June 16-19 will receive an added bonus courtesy of Traxxas, the sponsor of USAC's 2010 Traxxas Off-Road Championship. Pre-entries for the event must be received by June 1 to be eligible for the bonus and avoid the late sign-in fees. Entries can be filed at http://www.usacracing.com/quarter_midgets/mopar_speedzone.

Each race winner will receive a radio-controlled Traxxas Slash Short-Course Race Truck valued at more than $300. The vehicle puts you in the drivers seat for intense fender-to-fender, high-flying off-road action. The full-scale Short-Course Race Trucks embody the spirit of Traxxas R/C with their extreme 900-plus horsepower racing engines, full-throttle, dirt-roosting power slides, giant suspension travel and Super-cross-style big-air jumps.

The Traxxas Slash brings all the action home so you can experience the high-speed head-to-head competition at the track or in your own backyard. The Slash was inspired by the TORC (THE Traxxas Off-Road Championship) Pro 2WD class. The PRO 2WD class specified rear-wheel drive trucks purpose built to fly over jumps and rip full-throttle through the turns. The Traxxas Slash hangs it out for an all new way to challenge your driving skills.

The four-wheel independent suspension has been carefully tuned to replicate the PRO 2 driving and handling experience as closely as possible. The scale appearing tires provide just the right amount of bite and thick, blinding clouds of dirt roost.

The June 16-19 Orlando event will occur in the shadows of the world famous Walt Disney World resort and serves as round five of the 2010 USAC Mopar .25 Midget "Generation Next" Tour.

The 2010 USAC Traxxas Off-Road Championship debuts June 19-20 at Crandon (Wisc.) International Raceway.

DONATIONS BEING SOLICITED TO AID MUSIC CITY - AFTER FLOODS INUNDATE TENNESSEE FACILITY

Flood water from torrential weekend rains has inundated the Music City Quarter Midget track at Hermitage, Tenn. and the United States Auto Club has set up a fund to assist with repairs to the facility.

Persons wishing to donate to this most worthy cause can do so by sending checks or money orders to: United States Auto Club, Music City Fund, 4910 W. 16th Street, Speedway, Ind. (Attn: Nikki).

The entire track and buildings have been submerged by the buildup of water and this past weekend's events were cancelled. The club's planned Tennessee/Alabama shootout has also been moved to June 12.

Hermitage is located east of Nashville and was heavily impacted by the severe storms which moved through middle Tennessee over the weekend.
