The USAC .25 Midget “Generation Next” Series has a venue change which will result in the 2013 debut April 5-7 unfolding at South Mountain Speedway, home of USAC’s Valley of the Sun Quarter Midget club in Phoenix, Ariz.

The facility closure at the originally-announced Speedworld venue in Wittmann, Ariz. led to the venue change which now opens a 12-event calendar for the 2013 “Generation Next” participants.

“Although we are disappointed at the departure from Speedworld we are equally excited about returning to the Valley of the Sun,” says USAC’s Developmental Series Coordinator Kyle McCain. “This venue has offered a fan and
participant-friendly atmosphere and we look forward to the April 5-7 events there.”

The USAC .25 Midgets will continue their 2013 Generation Next events with races in California, New Mexico, Tennessee, Pennsylvanie, New York, North Carolina, Indiana, Maryland and Ohio.

We just received some great news for those who will be bringing an RV or motorhome to the Phoenix race. VSQMA officials have made arrangements with South Mountain park to allow overnight RV and motorhome camping within the park. This was accomplished by making arrangements for an overtime park ranger to be present during park closure hours of 5 AM to 7 PM on Friday and Saturday. We would like to give a special thanks to the Spencer Clark Driven Foundation for sponsoring the overtime ranger fees which made this possible.

It is important that anyone planning to stay overnight in an RV or motorhome make their reservation early so that we can reserve an area large enough to accommodate everyone. The cost for motorhome parking will be $40 and trailer parking will be $50 for a reserved spot for the duration of the event. Overnight parking will either be at the track or in a nearby overflow lot with shuttle service. Shuttle service would be provided throughout the weekend to transport families to and from the overflow lot to the track. Additionally, due to limited space at the track all pickups, SUV's and similar tow vehicles must be detached from trailers at the track and parked in the overflow lot. All spectator parking will also be directed to the overflow lot.

Please note that the park gates are closed from 7 PM to 5 AM. If you leave the park during this time you will not be able to re-enter. Please plan accordingly.
