USAC HONDA .25 GOES BACK TO HOOSIER'S NEWTON PARK AS 'MWT' EVENT

USAC Honda .25 Goes Back to Hoosier’s Newton Park as MWT Event

(Indianapolis – January 17, 2014) – One of the most favorite events, all year, for the USAC .25 drivers, is the Little Hoosier 100.  For 2014, the event is on the Mid West Thunder Schedule, July 25th – July 26th  in Lakeville, Indiana. 

Held annually at the Hoosier, Newton Park address, this race is one that brings drivers from across the US to compete.  “It’s such a unique venue,” said Kyle McCain, .25 Director.  “The people from Hoosier Corporate put on such a great event for our families.  They go all out.  Our racers can visit the Hoosier Tire Plant and see how tires are manufactured.  The park is all decked out with banners, there is great food at the concession, and the whole town comes out to see the races.”

As an added incentive, for the young drivers, just 10 minutes down the road; many Quarter Midget Alumni will be participating in the USAC HPD Midget (formerly Ignite Focus Midgets) event at Plymouth Speedway.   “It’s a great time for the .25 kids to see their friends that have moved up to the HPD Midgets,” said Eric Rankine, HPD Competition Director. 

The original USAC Hoosier 100 is a historic event, held each year in May at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.  Former Quarter Midget Alumni Bud Kaeding, Josh Wise, Bobby East and Shane Hollingsworth all have Hoosier 100 Silver Crown wins. 

Registration for the Little Hoosier 100 is $40.  No Pre-Registration is required.  There are two full days of racing; Saturday – Honda, Rookie and Briggs World Formula races and Sunday – MOD, AA, and Briggs Animal Classes.
