5 LAS VEGAS VENUES DISPLAYING .25 MIDGETS

SHOWCASING USAC’s NEWEST DIVISION

The hottest number in Las Vegas the next two weeks will be .25 (point two-five). You can bet on that.

Five high-profile exhibitions will be displaying the newest USAC entity – the .25 Midgets – as a prelude to competition in USAC’s newest racing series which begins in 2009.

Hot on the heels of the recent announcement of the Las Vegas Quarter Midget Club’s affiliation with the United States Auto Club, Las Vegas Motor Speedway Racing Operations VP Chris Blair and club race director Michael Turner have arranged for the displays which begin October 30 at the Monaco of Las Vegas dealership as part of the NHRA Kick-Off Party and Car Show.

Additional displays are slated at Las Vegas Motor Speedway October 31 through November 15. The Strip at LVMS includes a display as part of the October 31-November 2 NHRA ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals. On November 1 a similar display will appear at the LVMS Bullring as part of Speed Fest 2008, which features the USAC Western Midgets.

On November 8, fans can see the .25 Midgets at the LVMS Strip during the Gambler Showdown at The Strip, then on November 14-15 they’ll again be displayed at the 11th Annual Duel in the Desert for IMCA Modifieds at the LVMS Dirt Track.

A minimum of five cars will be on display at each event and literature will be distributed regarding this newest form of USAC motorsports.

One race remains for the Las Vegas Quarter Midget Club for 2008 on Saturday, November 14.  To learn more about the Las Vegas Quarter Midget Club log on to their website at www.lasvegasquartermidgets.com.

As clubs continue to select USAC as their sanctioning body, information will continue to be displayed on the USAC Racing website, www.usacracing.com
