What
is a Quartermidget? It's an open
wheel race car built "kid size". It looks just like a
full midget race car driven by stars such as Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Terry and Bobby LaBonte, Jason Leffler, J.J. Yeley, Jerry Coons, Jr, Tracy Hines,
Jay Drake, and Bud Kaeding. just to name a few. Kids
5 through 16 years of age are eligible to participate.
History was made as many young race car driver's got the chance to experience............ a Ford Focus Midget! Eight driver's were at Columbus Motor Speedway to sit down, strap in, and DRIVE!

QMA Meeting Alert!!!!
Please, everyone.... just relax! My email is totally full and my voice mail is topped out! I work everyday at H & R Block in Colorado during tax season. I am NOT at the National Meeting. The other night a former QMA Board Member told me that Dave Preston told the new Board, on a conference call, not to communicate with Debi Supan! Preston told them that QMA's power was in their information! Bottom Line.... they will release their information when they want and how they want to.
The rumors I have heard
from the meeting are the 2011 Grands were awarded to Taylorville for the Dirt Grands, Oaklane for the Eastern Grands and Washington for the West.
There was discussion about going back to a restricted Light World Formula Class. There was discussion that Vega Tires have a new tire coming out soon and that they will still support QMA with their sponsorship monies. There was discussion that Honda Engines are having parts that are different in the Thailand Engines than were previously used in Engines earlier in the year. There was discussion that Tech inspections will have to be more visible, in the future. Rumors are that Honda still pledged $9,000 sponsorship for 2010. Rumor is that QMA was given a Tour of the South Point arena where a possible Quarter Midget Race could be held in the future. Rumors are, there was discussion
and a committee formed regarding Judging. The Committee will submit their findings by March 1st and QMA will implement by April 10.
